Job Purpose or Summary:

Minimum Qualifications Include the following:
ACCREDITATION ACTIVITIES -Authority to Operate (ATO) experience with running or supporting ATO efforts -Understanding of regulations, publications, policies and guidance
-National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publications, especially 800-53
NIST encompasses Risk Management Framework (RMF,) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA,) so both military and civilians have access and need of these requirements
Past acceptable fields include DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and/or DOD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP)
Other DoD/DISA/IASE cybersecurity publications (DoD 8570.01 guides appropriate required certifications, such as Security+)
Other DoD security publications (Traditional Security, TEMPEST, COMSEC) are a plus
Knowledge/Understanding of network, application or embedded systems
Knowledge/Understanding of discrete differences between standalone and connected systems and their security requirements
Knowledge/Understanding of wired/wireless networking principles and configuration
Experience in technical/professional writing
Creation/authoring/review of standard operating procedures regarding information technology use, auditing procedures, account management procedures, vulnerability mitigation strategies, etc.
Microsoft Word experience desired
Experience with building and maintaining network topology and data-flow diagrams
Microsoft Visio experience desired
Experience in performing system audits
Microsoft Event Viewer/Event IDs experience desired; correlative tools like Splunk, Solidworks, LogRhythm, SIEM use, etc. are acceptable
Experience with security configuration
Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs,) and use of STIGviewer desired
Experience with classification marking and handling
Experience with security incident types, response and prevention
Ability to create, manage and maintain software and hardware baselines in high-paced Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDT&E) environment
Software Lists and Scans, Hardware Lists (recurring inspection and updates)
Understanding of Common Criteria Evaluation (CCEval) and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) certifications a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
