RE Processor I

Role:

Assists the Real Estate Department in expediting the loan interviews and processing of real estate loans.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

E 20% Assists members with initial application process and reviews residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.

E 20% Corresponds with credit bureaus, applicants, and outside agencies to verify accuracy of application information and resolve common problems.

E 20% Collects, reviews, and stacks all required documentation; submits final loan file for final review to RE Underwriter.

N 15% Prepares final loan documents for signing (i. e. Deed, Note, etc.).

N 10% Provides needs assessment to members, listening for cues and cross-sell appropriate products. N 10% Monitor Mortgage Services email and answer the Real Estate Department line.

N 5% Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • Submits loan files for final review with income, assets, liabilities, errors and suspensions within Department Standards.
  • Produces final loan documents, collection of fees, and final conditions with zero significant errors.
  • Closes, organizes and completes member loan files within established department standards.
  • Cross sells credit union products and services.
  • Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within the Credit Union and from the industry as a whole.
  • Participates as a team member in the department and maintains an acceptable staff satisfaction rating of 90% or better based on the Internal Service Survey (ISS) by demonstrating AltaOne Federal Credit Union's established internal service standards.
  • Completes AltaOne Federal Credit Union's Product Knowledge Assessment annually with a score of 90% or better.
  • Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.
  • Knowledge and Skills:

    Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED.

    Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

    Other Skills Must be able to operate a 10 key calculator and be able to demonstrate proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.



    Don't Be Fooled

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
